Business Review – Aspire@Southfields

At Aspire@Southfields they serve the Southfields and Wandsworth communities with high quality classes and facilities for adults and children as well as facility hire for local clubs and groups.

Located in the heart of Southfields on the Merton Road, Aspire has excellent facilities, from the 25m pool to the floodlit size 3G astro pitch plus a variety that can cater for various sports and activities.

Aspire Southfields aim is to provide the community with fantastic courses that can benefit the general public physically, mentally and also with life skills at reasonable cost.

Aspire@Southfields is part of a group of organisations that have been formulated to serve the general public and add benefits to their lives.

  • Southfields Academy

Southfield Academy is focused in all aspects of academic life. It is in the top percentage of schools nationally for value added results. They have a positive ethos with an emphasis on teaching and learning.

Southfields Academy has a wide and varied curriculum and provides young people with the opportunity to study, develop their skills and most importantly enjoy their learning. There are traditional academic subjects together with vocational and work related courses.

  • Nursery@Aspire

Places for children from 3 to 5 years. The nursery is a part of the wider Southfields Academy umbrella which has the fortune of sharing the excellent facilities with the Academy. The curriculum Nursery@Aspire provides will give any child the perfect start to school life and will provide an excellent foundation on which to build on.

  • Southfields Teaching School Alliance

As an alliance of teaching schools, Southfields are united by the desire to provide the very best support for teachers and creating the very best opportunities for students. They are committed to collaboration, innovation and achievement.

The Alliance has local primary, secondary and special schools within it, but has extended its outreach pan-London to include schools from Merton, Kingston, Southwark, Hounslow, Brent and Greenwich.

  • Wandsworth School Games

The aim of the program is to encourage every pupil in Wandsworth to participate regularly in High Quality Sporting Competitions through the new School Games programme.

Southfields Academy has been at the forefront of providing school sport in Wandsworth and across Central London since 2000. As a sports college and host of the Wandsworth School Partnership, Southfields has been held up as an example of excellent practice both locally & nationally.

At present there are 12 Secondary Schools, 51 Primary Schools and 7 Special Schools involved in the School Games making it one of the largest in the country.

Aspire@Southfields work actively within the local community to promote positive attitudes and commitment for equality both as an employer and a provider of education, sport and recreation facilities.
