It seems to come around faster every year, but Christmas is upon us once again and if you are living in the Putney and Southfields area you may be looking at things to do over the festive period with the kids.
Transport is always notoriously bad over the holiday period, so if you want to go to any of the events mentioned in our blog, then you can pre-book a private hire minicab from the local Putney and Southfields cab company Elite Car Service.
If you get down to the Church Square on the 2,3,4th December in Putney then you can take part in the Putney Christmas Spectacular. There will be an assortment of fun and games including an ice rink, school choirs, dance and drama, kid’s rides, a farmer’s market, and an art market.
Plus there will be a Christmas Lights Switch by Wandsworth Radio presenters and the official personality for this auspicious event is Jamie Ramsay the famous British adventurer.
Join Eddie Catz and all his friends to celebrate Christmas and meet Santa Claus on Thursday the 20th of December. There will be the resident elves to meet which will be helping the party go with a festive swing.
The party is bound to entertain the kids as well as the parents as there will be a special Christmas party playlist, and unique dimmed disco lighting together with a smoke machine and a special visit from Santa himself.
Taking place on dates from the 19th of December until the 30th of December is a Richard Leigh spectacular. He has created an intimate underground mystical playground which is a whole realm of magic, illusion, and intrigue that will transport you back to the days of long ago where fairgrounds were to say the least unusual.
All the attractions and games are created by clever illusions, and there will be plenty of encouragement for the audience to join in and take part. Games that you will be able to participate in are: Hook a Duck, The Coconut Shy, Odds to Win, Darts 21, and 13 Angels.
Nothing is more eagerly anticipated by the kids than the turn-on of the Christmas Lights every year. This year Southfields Business Forum together with the All England Club are sponsoring the event on the 6th December.
Even the Deputy Mayor will be in attendance to switch on the lights at 5pm. Live music will be presented by the Southfields Academy Musical Collective so that everybody gets in the Christmas spirit.
There will also be live jazz, a plethora of Christmas market stalls, carols, mulled wine and mince pies. And at 6.15pm a performance from Sing Swell.
If you are tempted by any of these great Christmas events, then contact us today to arrange your own private hire taxi to take you there and back in comfort.
